September News 2020

Thank you very much for your help and contribution to our organization. Every day we work to support more youth and children in Honduras. Then we would like to share some news of what we have been working on in the last days.

Victor’s story
Victor has been a young father, who every day looks for opportunities to support his daughter. Recently, he was let go from his job. Our organization has helped Victor to start his own business to support his family called the Mr. Gentleman Barber Shop. While he builds his cliental, he’s found temporary work delivering food.

Part of Victor’s story is that for many years he lived in an orphanage, unfortunately when he left the orphanage he did not have a guide and went through very difficult times by himself, being a 17-year-old father, every day he tries to overcome and to be able to finish his studies and one day be a great professional who can speak English.

Ivan is back
For many years, Ivan was one of the young people we supported, being a great young man, a great example and very honest, Ivan was about to start college when the coronavirus crisis began, during this crisis Ivan lost his job and is now in difficulty paying rent and his own food. We have decided to support Ivan in this difficult time and give him an opportunity that he deserves, supporting him with education, food and an apartment. Ivan pointed out that he would like to learn English to open up job opportunities and continue studying at the university.

Camilo and Emerson are exemplary Citizens
Camilo and Emerson have been, for a long time, our young promises, being supported in everything they needed. Today Camilo and Emerson are independent, praise the Lord! Camilo works in a bakery and Emerson works in food sales. It should be noted that we continue to support their studies and will one day soon be at university. It is a great pleasure for us to see them grow every day and to know that they are exemplary citizens.

Jairo is part of a very large family
Jairo is a child who used to live in an orphanage, unfortunately he did not have a place to live and was in uncertainty, which for a child of his age is something difficult to understand and at the same time very hard to process. Our missionaries Ernesto and Fanny have taken him on as their own child and every day nurture him into adulthood. Most of his time he spends surrounded by his new family where he receives consistent love, lives in his own room, has his own bed and can have food every day. Thanks to the support of Heart4Honduras, Jairo has received everything he needs for his development, so that in a few years he can be an exemplary citizen and a family man.

Agribusiness in progress
As many of you are aware, we have started an agribusiness. On our last visit, our first farmer, Martin, showed signs of success growing his first crop. We helped another family plant seeds in July. Both families live remote villages without communication, so within the next month or so we’ll take another trip to check up on their progress. Stay tuned!

Need to support more young people
As an organization we would love to support more young people and give them an opportunity to be the change in the country of Honduras, and this is only possible through your support. Every day we need more volunteers and more people willing to give a helping hand to the young promise of a new Honduras .

Likewise, all of the above would not be possible if it were not for you. Thank you for all the effort and support to our organization, thank you for believing in us and thank you for changing the lives and the future of Honduras.
