Mentor, friend, partner and brother

A few weeks ago I took on the challenge of being the mentor of a boy, and in the beginning it was difficult. The fact that someone new will enter his life, I could feel a negative attitude on his part… But as time has gone on, I have become someone he trusts.

On Saturday, we were in the middle of a rainstorm, the house where he lives had no electricity. In spite of everything, we had a good time sharing with the other guys from Casa Hogar CREA. Who would have thought a trip in a van would be fun? Jokes, laughs, bad jokes and lots of laughs. But here comes the most important moment, we went to “Musical Garage”, which is a place where they have sessions of praise, and I can say … the best places are those that you have the freedom to worship God in spirit And in truth, surrounded by your brothers in Christ.

On our way home, one of the things that struck me most was that one of the guys started praying!

As a result of this, I have realized that my true job, not only is being a mentor, this goes beyond. My real job is to be a guide, a friend when he needs a friend, a partner of good memories, but above Everything … A brother in Christ.
