Have you ever had a day where the anticipation of greatness was about to come true and then it does!? And there’s joy and happiness and all is truly good? And then… as the day progresses, things start to happen and go wrong and the distress whittles away at it and steals that joy?

Thursday was one of those days… I was anxious, but finally! after working on it for over a year and a half, Alex got his passport! We were elated!!! A milestone finally overcome and one step closer for him to visit us in the states. We were overjoyed, relieved and full of celebration.

And then, a series of events happened that chipped away at happy and heaviness had descended. And, to the day’s end, Honduras’ political unrest over Sunday’s presidential elections had escalated and fighting, fires and protests began.

I find the next day I have to fight through the fog to pray and then all becomes clear! I can tell you with certainty the enemy is real. He does not want good things to happen; least of all in Honduras, a place where he’s had his strong foothold. In this thought, I remind myself the enemy is nothing in the face of our Lord! Then, at that very moment, I believe and pray, and God pours out His grace, love and mercy, He moves mountains, restores, revives, changes and renews ME into perfect PEACE and JOY.

Please, take one moment for yourself and pray for restoration, and then, for our nation and Honduras to rest in His hands remembering who is the one true King, provider of joy.

“Jesus said…A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:6-10‬ ‭MSG‬‬
